Panasonic ER430K Vacuum Nose/Ear Hair Trimmer, Gray
The Panasonic ER430K Vacuum Ear/Nose Trimmer is the ultimate personal grooming tool. Have you ever wondered where hair clippings go after they have been trimmed from your ear or nostrils? Some fall into the groomer but many remain right where you found them. They can fall out at inappropriate times or be inhaled. The ER430K uses a revolutionary vacuum system to whisk away cut hairs so that they remain out of sight. The sleek ergonomic design makes it easy to hold and position. The hypoallergenic blades on the ER430K are placed at a 60 degree angle so they cut cleanly and precisely without the pulling that can occur with a duller blade. It equipped comes with a mirrored cap to help locate stray hairs. The head rinses clean under running water. Operates on one double AA battery.
Customer Reviews:
Comfortable, painless trim. (2010-07-26) Rating: 4/5
Seeking to avoid the "Lon Cheney as the Wolfman!" look from vintage movie posters, I bought one of these a couple months back.
So far, I'm pleased. It trims nose hairs and upper mustache hairs well (though I'll be honest, it tickles the bejesus out of my nose!), ear hairs, and I've even used it on a few errant eyebrow hairs that were getting out of hand. It comes apart easily for cleaning, and being able to put it under the faucet is a really nice feature.
The only caveat that keeps it at 4 stars is that it sometimes takes 3-4 passes to get all the hairs you're afer. Some of this is due to learning how to hold it, and some is due to the cylindrical guard on the blade, which makes it a little tricky to get the hairs and the blades in contact. Still, it's better than cutting your nose open with an exposed blade, so I'm not complaining.
Good trimmer, great cleanup.
Nose Trimmper (2010-07-25) Rating: 4/5
Works as advertised for trimming nose hair. Only used it once so only four stars.
Works as expected! (2010-07-20) Rating: 5/5
Does exactly what is it supposed to do. Cuts the hair without ripping it out like a previous trimmer I've used. Highly recommended!
Good stuff (2010-07-19) Rating: 4/5
I have owned a half-dozen clippers over the years. These are better than any I have tried, and the price is right.
my first trimmer! (2010-07-18) Rating: 4/5
Well this is my first "nose hair" trimmer ever. I'm glad that i purchased it. Though i hate that i actually need it. This particular model works ok. I dont know if other models have more than two cutting blades but this one could use four or five. It seems as though this would help out. With out the extra blades, and the fact that the two rotating blades that it does have sit pretty far down into the device - it seems as though this unit requires a lot of manual manipulation once inside your nose "in and out then turn the unit, in and out then turn again". Don't know if this is normal because this is my first unit. The vacuum feature is definitely a plus. Beware when you are rinsing out the head of nose hair clippings. The tiny actuator parts that are non steel have a tendency to want to float right out of the head and right down your sink drain! Other than that it will do the job with a little of your effort.
